Sanderling

Even though the weather was appalling this morning I still dragged myself down to Cockwood to have a look at the Exe Estuary . The bird that I was looking for was Sanderling but it took me quite a while to find a couple of them , but later in the morning I saw another ten of them fly by .
I also saw the long staying Slavonian Grebe , 2 Great Crested Grebe , 3 male and 3 female Red-Breasted Meganser , a male and female Common Goldeneye , 2 Common Eider and a Common Kingfisher flew in and landed on the wall of the rail track .
