I started the day off with a look around Topsham where I saw Eurasian Nuthatch , 2 Little Grebe and a Common Raven , then a quick look at Darts Farm got me a ( Pale Bellied ) Brent Goose , a Water Rail and 4 Reed Bunting .
I then had a look at The Matford Marshes where on arrival a male Peregrine Falcon flew over the marsh putting everything up , another good bird seen was a close Cetti`s Warbler but again there was no sign of the Yellow-Browed Warbler . The next stop was at the Powderham Sawmill where the luck was better as we managed to see the Yellow-Browed Warbler that has been there for a while now but it is quite elusive at times , also seen were 3 Great Spotted Woodpecker , a male and female Eurasian Bullfinch and a very early Red Admiral Butterfly .
