The day started well with Fieldfare`s feeding on berries near my garden , then a trip over to the Exminster Marshes to look for a reported Juvenile Western Marsh Harrier proved to be a good move as I saw it sitting on a fence post out in the middle of the marsh , news came out later that it was seen hunting near the other end of the marsh over the Exe reed beds .
There was not a lot more to report beside a lot of common birds that you expect to see but 3 male and a female Tufted Duck were nice along with a Common Kingfisher , the day was finished off at Darts Farm in Topsham where 2 Egyptian Geese , a Water Rail and 2 Common Chiffchaff were added to the day list .
