A look around Dawlish Warren this morning turned up some nice birds and started with a bit of a sea watch but not a lot was to be seen with only numerous Northern Gannet and Great Crested Grebe , 4 Red-Throated Diver and a Slavonian Grebe , then a walk up to the hide got me a Little Grebe , a male Northern Bullfinch and a single Meadow Pipit .
From the hide I saw 2 Little Egret , 10 Sanderling , 6 Red Knot , 2 Bar-Tailed Godwit , a Common Greenshank , 6 Common Skylark and a nice Water Pipit ! then as we were walking away from the hide this smart male Eurasian Sparrowhawk was sat in a tree beside the golf course , the next stop of the day was at Kenton where 3 Red-Legged Partridge joined the year list as did a Barnacle Goose seen on the Exminster Marshes .
