Garganey

I went down to the Exe Estuary this afternoon to see if the Osprey was showing but I got no luck today , so I had a look at Bowling Green Marsh where there had been a fall of wildfowl with more Eurasian Wigeon , Northern Shoveler and Common Teal had dropped into the marsh and in with them was the first eclipse / female Gargany of the autumn....god winter is on the way !!! there was not a lot else to be seen today with the best being 50+ Barn Swallow feeding over the marsh , a Common Kestrel and 3 Stock Dove , it was also good to see a Supermarine Spitfire fly over the marsh... another BGM tick for me lol , a look from the viewing platform at the Clyst Estuary then got me a Spotted Redshank and a female Peregrine Falcon .
