This afternoon the weather was continuous drizzle !! but I still went down to the Imperial Ground at Exmouth to look for a Black Brant ( Branta bernicla nigricans ) the American version of our Brent Goose and after a bit of a search I managed to get distant views of it on a sand bar in the middle of the Exe Estuary ( Thanks Terry ) , there was also 300+ Dark Bellied Brent Geese , 3 Pale Bellied Brent Geese , in with then also was the Ridgway`s Cackling Goose .
Not a lot else to report with only the usual good numbers of Eurasian Wigeon and Northern Pintail , 3 Little Egret and 2 Common Greenshank .
