Little Ringed Plover

A trip to the Exminster Marshes today got me a nice Little Ringed Plover  . There was an earlier report of 3 birds on the new scrapes but by the time I got there 2 had already moved on .

Also seen was a large flock of Dark Breasted Brent Geese , quite a few Eurasian Wigeon , Eurasian Curlew , and Black - Tailed Godwit , 6 Dunlin , 500+ European Golden Plover . And these warblers were also seen today , 2 Cetti`s Warbler , 7 Common Chiffchaff , a Siberian Chiffchaff and a Willow Warbler .

And this smart looking Great Cormorant of the continental sinensis race was showing well on the Exeter Canal .
