The day started off well as I came out of my house to a commotion of birds and as I looked up a Merlin was going over the Cemetery grounds in Topsham , my 1st in Topsham this year .
The day then fell off a bit as I went for another look at Bowling Green Marsh but the only birds worth talking about were 9 Northern Pintail , a Water Rail , 6 Red Knot , 5 Whimbrel and 3 nice Yellow Wagtail .
