Thursday 15th June
A short trip up to Yeovil in Somerset to look for a Marsh Warbler that has been showing for a couple of days . We got there in the baking sun and picked a spot looking out over the reed bed where the bird had been seen . But after a few hours stood in the heat we only had flight views and brief views of the bird out in the open .
Also seen were numerous Banded Demoiselle ... Always nice to see .

Yellow-Legged Gull
Another trip down to Exmouth this morning and I took a look at the recycling centre and was rewarded with the second summer Yellow-Legged Gull that showed very well .
These Butterflies were seen today near Mudbank Lane , Wall Brown , Meadow Brown and Common Blue along with a Cinnabar Moth . And at Bowling Green Marsh the 3 European Spoonbill were still on show .

A morning trip up to the Tescos store at Pines Hill in Exeter to look for Bee Orchid and I managed to find quite a few of them on the bank that they have left wild and uncut . Great to see !
Also seen were some nice Marbled White Butterflies and a range of different Bees that I am afraid that I dont know much about 😀
Sunday 4th June
A late evening trip out to Aylesbeare Common to look for European Nightjar turned out to be very good . As I found one sat out in the open on a small tree and I heard another 2 more calling .
Also seen was a Noctule Bat a first for me 😃
