A morning look around the bushes at Bowling Green Marsh got me 8 European Goldfinch , 6 Winter Wren , numerous Common Wood Pigeon , a single Stock Dove , a Great Spotted Woodpecker , a Eurasian Nuthatch and a nice Southern Hawker .
Later in the afternoon around high tide I went down again for another look and this time I saw 7 Pied Avocet , a Common Ringed Plover , a juvenile Ruff , a Water Rail and my first Yellow Wagtail on the marsh this year . And too end the day off there were 2 Osprey fishing in the Exe Estuary .
