Tuesday 5th June

Early this morning I had a European Green Woodpecker in the Topsham Cemetery Grounds . I then went and had a look at Bowling Green Marsh and I saw the usual birds for this time of year with 30+ Black-Tailed Godwit , a single winter plumaged Red Knot , 20-30 Black-Headed Gull , quite a few Barn Swallow and Common Swift and a few Common House Martin , a Common Kingfisher and 2 calling Cetti`s Warbler .
In the evening a trip up to Woodbury Common with my mate Ken got us 4 European Nightjar with 3 showing and another heard on call .
