White-Winged Tern

Big news today of a new bird for Bowling Green Marsh with the bird being a moulting adult White-Winged Tern . I didn`t get to hear about until late in the day ( Thanks Mr Hopkins ) but I still managed to get down and see it in time . I arrived to find the hide packed to the rafters and was soon put onto the bird . It spent most of the time that I was there feeding over the pool but occasionally it rested up for a short while on the edges . This is the second one of these birds that I have seen this year but this being a new bird for the BGM list makes it a bit more special for me !
