Yellow Wagtail

 I again started the day off at Bowling Green Marsh and again the following birds were seen .

European Spoonbill , Ruff , Red Knot , 2 Common Sandpiper , 100+ Dunlin  , Whimbrel ,2  Bar-Tailed Godwit & a Spotted Redshank .

I then went to Orcombe Point in Exmouth and I saw 20+ Yellow Wagtail and a Northern Wheatear .

2 Days Birding

The last two day I have been looking at Bowling Green Marsh in Topsham  . And I managed to see the following birds ,

2 Northern Pintail , a European Spoonbill , a Ruff  , 2 Common Sandpiper , 4 Red Knot , 3 Bar-Tail Godwit , 3 Whimbrel , a large flock of Eurasian Curlew , numerous Dunlin , a Common Snipe , my 1st Curlew Sandpiper of the year , a Stock Dove , 2 European Reed Warbler , 2 Water Rail and a Northern Wheatear . Away from the Marsh there was a few Sandwich Tern on the Exe Estuary and today I had an Osprey that was over Topsham heading towards the River Clyst .

Red Underwing

Woke up this morning to find this beautiful Red Underwing . Not a rare moth but as you can see an absolute cracker to start the day off .  

Movement

 On Bowling Green Marsh this morning there was a small movement of birds going through along with all of the usual ones , with !

Black-Tailed Godwit , Eurasian Curlew , Common Redshank & Greenshank , Dunlin , Ruff , Northern Lapwing , a large mixed flock of Barn Swallow , Common House Martin & Common Sand Martin .

I then went down the the viewing area where I saw a Cetti`s Warbler , 2 Willow Warbler , a Common Chiffchaff and a small flock of European Goldfinch .

Out Again

I have not been out birding for a while so it was good to get out today and take a look at  Bowling Green Marsh . There was not a lot to see as the edges of the lake are very overgrown , but I did manage to see a couple of Gadwall , Greater & Lesser Black-Backed Gull,s , a Stock Dove and the following waders .

Numerous Black-Tailed Godwit and Common Redshank , a Spotted Redshank  , 16 Dunlin , a Ruff and a single Red Knot .
